The Del Puerto Health Care District board of directors will open sealed bids at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, for the Keystone building remodel. The meeting will be at the 875 E St., and is open to the public.
The building is in the Keystone Pacific Business Park on Baldwin Road. It contains 11,000 square feet of space, which will be the future home of Del Puerto Health Care Center, now on Ward Avenue and Highway 33.

Las Palmas requests votes
Las Palmas Elementary School needs help from local residents in a bid to receive a portable laptop computer system for its students.
Through Clorox’s Power a Bright Future Grant, the school could receive the money needed for a full computer lab. Now through Nov. 2, people can vote by logging on to www.powerabrightfuture.com, where they should click on “Vote,” scroll to the “Learn” category and search for Las Palmas Elementary.
