Patterson High’s spring athletic teams have earned substantial all-league recognition from the Western Athletic Conference.

Six Patterson High girls soccer players were among the student-athletes appointed to the all-WAC team, the league office announced last week.

The Tigers honored were all named to the conference’s first team and included Jessica Herrera, Jessica Carranza, Genesis Barraza, Yesica Cantero, Shantel Perez and Claudia Barron.

A productive season for the Tigers’ softball team got even better, when they put five players on the all-WAC first team.

Patterson pitcher Jessyca Rico came away with the league’s defensive MVP award.

Tigers Kianna Weinzheimer, Melissa Robles, Stephanie Barraza and Brianna Gill were also selected to the conference’s first team.

Teammate Stephanie Cantu received an honorable mention.

The Patterson High baseball team had three players named to the all-WAC first team.

Selections included Nathan Mayoral, Cody Weinzheimer and Frankie Sanchez.

Teammate Tyler Bettencourt earned second-team honors.
