Police went to a home in the Walker Ranch subdivision at about 9:30 a.m. to investigate. The suspect, Abel Rodriguez of Arizona, was taken into custody at the home and later booked into Stanislaus County Jail in Modesto without incident.
The girl’s parents were notified and contacted the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, police said.
According to reports, Rodriguez had been staying at the Walker Ranch home at the time of the slumber party.

• 9:30 p.m.: Police were dispatched to a home on the 1300 block of Thoroughbred Street in Patterson in regard to an argument between a man and a woman. The male suspect reportedly made threats to kill and bury the woman, police said. According to reports, she told police she feared for her life because of the man’s past threats and actions, which she had not reported to law enforcement. The 43-year-old Patterson man was arrested and booked into county jail.
