According to police, Anderson had sold about $10,000 worth of air conditioner parts, believed to be stolen, to a recycling business in the Bay Area.
He is thought to be responsible for a string of thefts at several empty homes since November, police said.

• 5:58 p.m.: Police responded to Allied Cash Advance in Patterson on a report of an armed robbery. According to reports, a clerk at the business said a man threatened employees with a gun, demanding money, and then left the store with an unknown amount of cash. Upon arriving at the scene, police located a suspect who matched the description, but the clerk could not positively identify him.
