The Patterson Redskins junior varsity youth football team hobbled toward the postseason, suffering a 52-0 loss to the Modesto Raiders at Patterson Community Stadium on Oct. 24.

Patterson’s roster was stretched thin by illness and injuries, leaving coach Eric Ochoa with just 15 players to work with in the final game of the regular season.

“Unfortunately, it was another ugly score,” Ochoa said. “The kids we did have played many different and unfamiliar positions. They gave it their best, and I’m proud of them.”

Ochoa commended the efforts of several of his players. Marcus Lozano, Moises Vasquez, Alex Delgado, Brandon Grischott, Gabriel Ochoa and Jakob Davis all garnered praise from their coach.

Patterson next travels to Stockton on Saturday, Oct. 31, to help support the Redskins’ cheerleading team in a competition hosted by the Weston Ranch Eagles.

The Redskins will likely face Weston Ranch in the first round of the National Youth Football League playoffs Nov. 9.

“We are going to keep working until the very end,” Ochoa said.

• Results for other Redskins teams were not submitted by press time.

Hey Mar... I mean anonymous do you have anything better to do than sit here and debase anybody who has a different opinion than you. I know, I know we are done, our board is the problem, they are lying to you, wait till next year, our parents are happy.

(Thought I would save you the time)

WOW.Loser(not looser)cheerleading moms.Cheerleading is part of the organization, part of the football games and help your organization bring in money to continue existing.Their parents pay just like football parents.Shleprock, never had any problems till you guys moved in.Sounds like you have problems period and you do not need help from anybody else. Why not go to your own people(board) if you are so deeply upset by cheer moms?Cheer moms,if you know who this person is you may want to kick his butt. But don't be snotty about it please.

No issues until we came along? The Redskins have been nothing but issues for the last 6 years. Look in the mirror you guys are done. I didn't mention anything about cheer it is all football. You are to ignorant to understand what I wrote where did I mention cheer. Put some points on the board and then pop off.

You are kidding right? Let them score. You have got to be kidding. If they are getting better every week they would have scored.Earn the score no one is going to let them score. It is just another example of the Special Olympics mentality. Everybody is a winner. I hate to break it to you but not everybody wins all the time. Get over it!!!

Find it hard to believe that not one team in this league would not let this team score. These kids deserve an opportunity to experience that once this year. Now they get to go to playoffs without winning or scoring against a 10-0 team who has only given up 6 points. This is a sad situation,be nice if they would let these kids score. It would make their year
