All meals are served with 8-ounces of low fat milk. Holiday cookie or special dessert is served prior to all holidays. Birthday cake is served the third Wednesday of every month.
Chef’s salad can be substituted on Wednesdays and it is served with orange, wheat bread and low fat milk.
Local businesses and individuals provide lunches on Thursdays at the senior center.
The suggested donation is $2 for men and women age 60 and older. Those younger than 60 must pay $5. Thursday meals are provided by community organizations.
Reservations should be made before noon a day in advance by calling 895-8197 for meals on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays or 895-8180 for Thursday meals.
Monday, Aug. 18:
Chicken cacciatore, pasta, mixed vegetables, pineapple orange juice, fresh fruit.
Tuesday: Breaded fish filet with lemon slice and tartar sauce, carrots, coleslaw, orange, wheat bread.
Wednesday: Tostada salad with Thousand Island dressing, California blend vegetables.
Thursday: Taco salad and sherbet provided by the Senior Meal Task Force.
Friday: Ham and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread, lettuce, two slices tomato, minestrone soup, pineapple and mandarin.
Monday, Aug. 25:
Turkey burger with tomato onion slice, lettuce, ketchup mustard mayo (optional) potato salad, fresh orange.
Tuesday: Asian chicken, fried rice, ginger carrots, ambrosia salad, wheat bread.
Wednesday: Tostada salad with Thousand Island dressing, California blend vegetables, apricots, pineapple orange juice.
Thursday: Tuna salad sandwich, macaroni salad, chips, fruit provided by the Senior Meas Task Force
Friday: Rotini with meat sauce, spinach salad with cherry tomatoes, Brussels sprouts, toes.
