Creekside Middle School music students will present their final concert of the school year at 7 p.m. Thursday in the school gym, 535 Peregrine Drive, and community members are invited.
The free concert will feature all music performing groups — beginning band and orchestra and advanced band and orchestra.

Tri-tip sandwiches on the menu
The Federated Methodist-Presbyterian Church Youth Group will have a tri-tip sandwich drive-through fundraiser to help support a mission trip to Arizona in July.
The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Federated Methodist-Presbyterian Church, 45 S. El Circulo. The cost is $10 per person.
Church youth and adult leaders will volunteer at a Navajo reservation through the Sierra Service Project, and youth will repair the homes on the reservation near Rock Point, Ariz.

River will perform in concert
The music group River will be appear in concert at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. Sunday at 650 W. Las Palmas Ave.
“An Intimate Evening with River” is Our Saviour’s and Berean Christian School’s way of saying “thank you” for the community’s support through the years, said the Rev. Paul Johnson of Our Saviour’s. Although there is no admission charge, an offering will be taken.
The concert will be filled with songs, stories and worship.

AARP Driver Safety Program
The AARP Driver Safety Program (formerly known as 55 Alive) will have a two-day class from 1 to 5 p.m. May 21 and 22 at the Patterson Senior Center, 700 F St.
There are no tests in the driver safety class, but seniors must attend both sessions to qualify for a certificate of completion and a possible discount on insurance.
The fee for the course is $14 per person and is nonrefundable. The cost for active AARP members is $12. Checks should be made payable to “AARP” and dated for the date of the class — please do not send cash.
Enrollment is limited to the first 30 seniors who register. All drivers must bring a driver’s license to class for verification of their license number. Application forms are available at the senior center.
