Marie Agnes Archer January 15, 1917 – June 17, 2014 Marie Agnes Archer, 97 of Patterson passed away Monday, June 17 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. Mrs. Archer was born in Oxnard and was a resident of Patterson for 22 years. She was a homemaker, a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson, a member of the YLI (Young Ladies Institute), CWA (California Women for Agriculture) and the Patterson Garden Club. She was a volunteer as a Pink Lady at Doctors Medical Center, the Blood Bank and St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store. She drove a school bus for Rising Sun School for many years and volunteered as a Teachers Aid at the school and worked as a Postal Clerk for the Vernalis Post Office. Mrs. Archer is survived by her sons, John (Helene) Archer of Ashland, Oregon and James (Margaret) Archer of San Pedro; daughters, Julie Gebhardt of Roseville and Janice (Jack) Arizcuren of Manteca; brother, Jim Friedrich of Modesto; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Archer and son-in-law, Mike Gebhardt. A rosary was recited and Mass celebrated on Tuesday, June 24 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Interment was at Patterson District Cemetery in Patterson. Donations may be made to: Father Connors Endowment Fund, P.O.
