Patterson Police deputies stopped a burglary in progress on the 15,000 block of Mistletoe Avenue after witnesses reported seeing three suspicious people leaving a house there and crossing the street into an orchard in the rural part of Patterson Friday, April 11. Deputies were able to catch and detain two suspects but only arrest one. A third remains at large.

Bradley Smith, 29, of Patterson was arrested and some—but not all—of the property stolen was recovered.

Police say they have a witness that placed him in the house. The second person detained, a woman, was later released pending further investigation. A third suspect was not found and there has been no description.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Detective Danny Anderson at 209-892-5071.
