Nov. 9, 1953 — Jan. 20, 2014
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, Feb. 8 for Brenda Marlene Keeble Schaeffer, who was born in Windsor, Ontario, and died unexpectedly at Memorial Hospital in Modesto.
Mrs. Schaeffer is survived by her husband of 30 years Bob and two sons, her youngest Zachary still living at home, her oldest Nicholas and his wife Trisha of Loma Rica, her mother Dorothy, brother Brian both of Palermo, as well as a large family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Her father Donald of Palermo, just two weeks prior, preceded her in death. In 1969 Brenda dedicated her life to Jehovah God and symbolized that dedication by water baptism on September 12, 1969 and served him faithfully until her death.
Mrs. Schaeffer loved to study the bible and at one time spent up to 90 hours per month helping others to learn about her loving God Jehovah. Her faith compelled her to share the “Good News” about the Bible’s promises with others including as mentioned at Revelation 21: 3 & 4 and Psalms 37:29, where death will be done away with and the righteous will reside on a restored Paradise earth forever, according to her family. One of the many spiritual highlights in Mrs. Schaeffer’s life included being selected with her husband and oldest son Nicholas as U.S. delegates to the 2003 International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses held in Honolulu Hawaii, that was attended by 23,000 from 10 countries. Her family and friends are truly saddened now but are confident as was Mrs. Schaeffer about Jehovah God’s promise recorded at John 5:28-29 that says all those in the memorial tombs will be resurrected.
A Memorial Service will be observed at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb.8 at the Patterson Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 270 Weber Ave., Patterson CA 95363.
