A Celebration of Life will be observed on Saturday, Oct. 5 for former Patterson resident Linda Louise Rogers, 67, of Spring, Texas, who died at her home in her sleep on Saturday, Sept. 7.
Born February 12, 1946 in Patterson, Mrs. Rogers is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Wilma Manetti of Patterson.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jimmie Rogers: two sons, Jimmie and Jessie Rogers: two granddaughters, Jade and Jamie Rogers; one grandson, Duncan Rogers; and her sister, JoAnne Rockower.
Mrs. Rogers attended Patterson Union High School, Cabrillo College and San Francisco State University. She worked as a travel agent, cosmetology instructor, cosmetology salon owner, and cosmetology school owner for over 30 years in Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties.
Mrs. Rogers loved dancing, cooking, gardening and travel. She traveled extensively during her life to places such as Aruba, Jamaica, Bali, Spain, France, Italy, Vietnam, Puerto Rico Mexico, and many more.
Mrs. Rogers family said she would be remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend. She always had a smile on her face and was a positive person. She loved her family and
friends, and, in turn was loved by them.
The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Rogers will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Patterson Covenant Church, 435 W. Las Palmas Ave., and Patterson.
