A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 10 in Mariposa for former Boulder Creek resident Joseph Dalton, who died in Los Banos. He is the father of Patterson resident Mary Wolf.

Mr. Dalton, 93, was born in Rochester, N.Y. and he retired from the County of Santa Clara. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a former parishioner of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Boulder Creek.

Mr. Dalton lived in Boulder Creek for 14 years before moving to Mariposa and Merced for 16 years. He lived in Los Banos for the past seven years.

Mr. Dalton is survived by his children, Eileen Dalton and husband, Alan Cherry of Santa Cruz; Mary Wolf of Patterson and Pete Dalton of Alaska; sister, Helen and husband, Bob Bouchard of Rochester, N. Y.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by his spouse, Kathleen Dalton; his parents, John and Margaret Dalton; and siblings, Jack Dalton, John Dalton, Margaret Norton and Doris Hoff.

Whitton Family Funeral Services of Merced is handling the arrangements.

A memorial Mass will be at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 10 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mariposa.
