‘Story Stew’ opens on local stage
WHEN:
7:30 p.m.
WHERE: Apricot Valley Elementary School, 1320 Henley Parkway
DETAILS: Patterson Repertory Theatre presents “Story Stew: A Fairy Tale Revue,” directed by Tori Lee Scoles. In this youth theater production, Jack, Jill, Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, Hansel, Gretel and Mary are children who live together in a shoe. But when all the food in the cupboard mysteriously disappears, Old Mother Hubbard sends Jack out to sell his cow and buy more food. The show continues at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23, and closes with a matinee at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24.
COST: $7 general admission, $5 for children ages 5 to 17

Saturday, March 23
March Against Hunger
WHEN:
8 a.m. registration, 8:30 a.m. start
WHERE: Father Connors Hall, 220 N. Salado Ave.
DETAILS: Rain or shine, participants will collect pledges and walk four miles to combat hunger. The money they raise will help people in Patterson, Westley, Grayson and Crows Landing. Walkers of all ages may participate, although an adult must accompany children younger than 13. Anyone who raises $25 or more will receive a T-shirt. Shirts can also be bought for $5 each.
COST: $5 to register
