The San Lorenzo Valley has a long history of supporting its students, and last Tuesday’s passage of Measure O is another testament to the community’s commitment to improving education at a local level. Under George Wylie, Kathy Ritchie and Libby Purdy’s leadership, parents, students, community members, board members and staff worked tirelessly to make our vision a reality. Measure O will provide a quality library for our middle and high school students, a performing-arts center for both community and school use, science labs and classrooms at the elementary level, security on all campuses, playground improvements and the renovation of nonclassroom space into classrooms. We have already begun meeting with our architects and conceptual drawings of the library can be found on our district website, www.slv.k12.ca.us, which will be regularly updated.
Thank you, San Lorenzo Valley, for once again demonstrating your Cougar Pride and support for education by passing Measure O.
Julie Haff,
Superintendent, San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District
