Former Patterson resident Celia Baptiste of Livermore graduated June 17 from California State University, East Bay, in Hayward. Baptiste earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with an emphasis in production and operations management.

Baptiste is the daughter of Elaine Carter of Patterson and Clement Baptiste of Livermore. She graduated from Granada High School in Livermore in 1999 and works for Safeway Corp.

Family and special guests attended a dinner after the commencement.
