A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Jan. 25, for Jose Luis Estrada, 70, of Patterson, who died Saturday, Jan. 19, at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Mr. Estrada was a native of Cotija, Michoacan, Mexico, and was a resident of Patterson for 35 years. He worked for Patterson Frozen Foods as a sanitation engineer for 17 years and attended services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. He loved crafting wood items and enjoyed watching television.
Mr. Estrada is survived by his wife, Graciela Estrada of Patterson; sons, Jose Estrada of Modesto, Juan Estrada and Ernesto Estrada, both of Patterson and Sergio Estrada of Newman; daughters, Maricela Palma of Newman, Blanca Santoyo of Patterson, Patricia Estrada of Salida and Rosa Estrada and Gabby Estrada both of Patterson; brothers, Miguel Estrada of Mexico, Rafael Estrada of San Diego, Nemecio Estrada of Mexico and Rogelio Estrada of Stockton; sister, Maria Da Rosario Estrada Galvan of Mexico; 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St., in Patterson. A second visitation will be observed at 9 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Patterson District Cemetery, 10800 Highway, 33, Patterson.
