A man from Newman was taken by air ambulance to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment of minor injuries early Saturday after he lost control of his car and it rolled over on Interstate 5 just north of Davis Road.

California Highway Patrol officer John Paraguay said Francisco Robles, 59, was traveling south on I-5 around 7:15 a.m. when his 2010 Nissan Versa went off the right edge of the road and he overcorrected to the left and lost control. The car rolled over and ended up near the center divide.

No other vehicles or passengers were involved, and the freeway remained open.
