The Pacheco Panthers won it 3-0 with game scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-17.
“We really need to start trusting in our teammates and ourselves and learning the court that we play on,” said Patterson coach Tarah High. “Our reaction is to swing hard and fast, and in most sports that is a good technique, but we can’t start swinging hard until we know where the ball needs to land.”
Leading the way for Patterson (1-5 WAC) was junior Mele Tupouata, who recorded five kills and two blocks. Teammate Kiara Job, a junior, had two kills and two blocks; sophomore Bailey Boschi had four assists; and junior Maria Cortez had six digs.

The Patterson and Pacheco JV volleyball teams went the distance in WAC action Monday in Los Banos, but Pacheco won it 2-1.
Game scores were 25-23, 15-25, 15-11.
Leading the scoring effort for the Tigers (4-2) were sophomore Brianna Palafox, with four kills, and sophomore Cassie Santelices, with three aces and four assists. Freshmen Julia Sill and Arelky Magallon had two aces each, and Gaby Maldonado, a sophomore, contributed three digs.
