The first is planned from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Modesto Campus of Bradman University, part of the Chapman University system, at 5222 Pirrone Court in Salida. The seminar will include various workshops focusing on interview skills, résumé writing and networking to prepare jobseekers for interviews with potential employers.
Then, a Central Valley Job Fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 22, a Wednesday, at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds, 900 N. Broadway, in Turlock. The fair, facilitated by the Stanislaus Economic Development & Workforce Alliance, will give jobseekers a chance to meet face to face with employers looking to hire workers in the region. Employers will accept résumés and meet with applicants throughout the day. The job fair is open to the public. Participants are encouraged to take several copies of their résumés and wear business attire.
