A man walking to Autumn Royal Park in the Heartland Ranch housing development was attacked shortly before 3:50 p.m March 16 after he confronted two men who had been knocking over garbage cans and urinating in the park.

The victim described both men as Latinos, between the ages of 16 and 20. One of the men had a tattoo of a cross symbol beneath his left eye, he said, while the other was referred to as “Tiki” and had collar-length hair and a recent injury or scar on his left cheek.

March 19

• 1 p.m.: Police took a report of a white 1991 Honda Accord that reportedly had been stolen from in front of the owner’s home on the 300 block of Chase Street.

• 6:30 p.m.: A man reported finding a drill motor in the shrubs near his home on the 400 block of Roadrunner Drive.

March 18

• 12:11 a.m.: A woman was threatened by four Latino males in a red Honda after they showed up at her home on the 100 block of Shorthorn Street following a gang-related brawl and demanded to fight her son because of his affiliation with the Norteño gang. When she refused to call her son out of the house, one of them swung a bat at her, she told police, but missed. Deputies are searching for the suspects, who could face charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

March 17

• 7 p.m.: Jesse’s Used Car Lot, 100 S. Second St., reported that gasoline worth about $400 had been siphoned from seven cars parked on the sales lot.

March 16

• 11:42 a.m.: The owner of a house under construction on the 400 block of East Las Palmas Avenue reported the theft of about $5,000 worth of scaffolding.

March 15

• 4:24 p.m.: Deputies responded to a call on the 1400 block of Nubian Street regarding a who man who had reportedly stolen things from a family member’s purse and was thought to be suffering from paranoia and sleep deprivation. The man, identified as Carlos Galvez, 18, of Patterson, was arrested after a brief struggle at his home on suspicion of robbery, carjacking and resisting arrest.

• 7:17 p.m.: Police heard from a homeowner who said she had seen her belongings in the back of a pickup parked outside her fire-damaged home on the 600 block of Poppy Avenue, where several burglaries had been reported. When deputies arrived, Patterson residents Rigoberto Aguilar, 25, and Monica Lopez, 21, were both arrested on suspicion of burglary.

March 14

• 9:25 a.m.: Deputies found two tractors along the 20000 block of Bell Road in Crows Landing that had been reported as stolen the night before, a short distance from where they had been previously parked. One tractor owner reported damage costing about $300 after the radio was stolen and an ignition key was broken, police said.

March 13

• 9:25 a.m.: Following reports of a family fight at a home on the 600 block of Walnut Avenue, police arrested James Soliz, 21, of Patterson, on suspicion of vandalism after he allegedly threw a rock at the family van and then fled.
