However, the hearing was postponed to Oct. 3, a Wednesday, because doctors determining Bigham’s current mental condition had not fully completed their reports.
Stanislaus County Superior Court Judge Thomas Zeff and attorneys from both sides previously received some reports late Tuesday Aug. 27, just hours before Bigham’s hearing on Wednesday, Aug. 28, causing that hearing to be delayed.
Bigham has pleaded not guilty to charges she drowned her daughter, Alexandrea, on the 400 block of Thrush Drive on Jan. 14, 2010.
She has been charged with one count of first-degree murder as well as one count of child abuse causing death and one count of battery on a paramedic. Bigham was allegedly combative with paramedics and had to be restrained on her stretcher.
Her bail is set at $2 million, and she remains at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
