A “Stamping Up” class and watercolor painting will be offered for senior crafters the first two Wednesdays of the month at the Patterson Senior Center. The last two Fridays will feature various craft projects.

Seniors are welcome to attend the 1 to 3 p.m. sessions at the senior center, 700 F St., whether or not they are interested in the craft being taught. Local crafters may bring their own crafts to work on.

  • Today: Crafters will make Valentines in the “Stamping Up” session with Terry Cryer. Supplies will be available, and there is no charge.
  • Feb. 13: Watercolor painting will be taught by Vi Parker. No experience is needed to learn how to blend colors. Basic supplies are available or crafters may bring their own. There is no charge.
  • Feb. 22: Quilting with Betty Carlson. Crafters will assemble the quilt top, filler and lining. The completed quilt will be auctioned at the Patterson Recognizing Individuals Determined to Excel dinner and auction May 3.
  • Feb. 29: Carlson will teach a knitting class, and crafters will make knitted bath sponges.  Supplies will be available.
