Sacred Heart celebrates Catholic Schools Week |

Sacred Heart Catholic School will be among the schools nationwide that celebrate Catholic Schools Week — with the theme “Catholic Schools Light the Way”— Jan. 27 through Feb. 2.
- Jan. 27: Parish Mass — Sacred Heart students will host the 11 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St. Also, the Father Connors Endowment Fund board of directors will present the annual disbursement check to Sacred Heart Catholic Church’s pastor, the Rev. Bernie Quinn, and to Jason Oliveira, Sacred Heart Catholic School’s principal.
- Jan. 28: Rosary for Peace — Everyone at the school will recite the rosary in a time of prayer for peace in our world at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart church.
- Jan. 29: Celebrating our Nation (Patriotic Day) — SHS students will wear red, white and blue to show their patriotism. Students will also compete in special writing projects for the school’s Wednesday open house. Members of the student council will attend a 9:30 a.m. diocesan Mass in Stockton with Bishop Stephen Blaire.
- Jan. 30: Come see us at work day — Parents, prospective parents, and community members are invited to see students and teachers at work from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the school. All visitors will be required to sign in with the office; administrators ask that young children not attend. There will be an open house from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
- Jan. 31: Student Day — Students may wear warm pajamas, sweats, etc. during the day. They will watch movies, play board games and participate in fun classroom activities from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Feb. 1: Staff Day — The Student Council will provide a luncheon for school staff. Because it is the first Friday of the month, students will be on a minimum day schedule and attend Mass at 9 a.m. The Student Council will host a rally from 11 a.m. to noon.
