Patterson Senior Center Crafters will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. each Friday this month at the city’s senior center, 700 F St.
The only Wednesday class this month will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today, when crafters will make thank-you cards with Stampin’ Up teacher Terri Cryer.

Other classes for January:
  • Friday — Crafters will make a quilt for the Patterson Recognizing Individuals Determined to Excel program’s spring auction. PRIDE provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Patterson. Betty Carlson will teach the quilting class.
  • Jan. 11 — Local artist Vi Parker will teach watercolor painting. Artists should bring their own paper tablet, colors and brushes. Parker also has materials for beginners.
  • Jan. 18 — Crafters will make dish towels or potholders by knitting with cotton cloth in a class led by Carlson. Both basic and advanced patterns will be provided. Carlson has knitting needles available for beginners.
  • Jan. 25 — Crafters will have a beading class with Carlson. They will make bracelets to give as Valentine’s Day gifts or to wear themselves. Kits will be provided for a $5 charge, or crafters can use their own materials.

Betty Carlson, 892-6514.
