How considerate
EDITOR,
Isn’t it wonderful that Mrs. Donna Worley blessed us with her opinion of our “sophisticated” community in her Dec. 15 op-ed in the Irrigator, and has deigned to decide what we need in order to better ourselves? Such altruism — such consideration of others! One point I don’t quite understand — since she has been so successful in bettering other communities, why isn’t she still living in one of them? Really, we could probably stumble along without her advice or multiple initiatives.
Additionally, I would like to point out that it is not the purpose of government, be it local or national, to solve all our problems and smooth our difficulties. That is, I believe, a form of socialism — and it has been tried and been found wanting time and time again.

Great job, Tigers
EDITOR,
Congratulations to the Tigers and their fine coaching staff for a great season and playoff run. Coach Rob Cozart and the Tigers will be back in the finals again. The team played as hard as they could and with a few breaks could have won their first section championship. What a great season.
I had seen pictures of the new stadium renovations and scoreboard, but to see it in person was unbelievable. What a tremendous project, and what great support from the community and the Patterson Gridiron Club.
Thank you to all the friends and former players who took time to stop and shake hands and talk a minute. What a great weekend it was for the old coach. My heart will always be with Patterson and the Tigers.
Great job, coaches and players, you’re the best!
Carl Selee,
former coach, Boise, Idaho
