 Photo by Jonathan Partridge / Patterson Irrigator Smashup: Only minor injuries were reported after these cars crashed at Ward Avenue and Barros Street at about 3:30 p.m. Monday. Police said the green Honda Civic was going about 30 to 35 mph southbound on Ward Avenue, when the Ford Focus, headed northbound on Ward Avenue, made a left-hand turn in front of the car onto Barros. The driver of the Focus was turning down the volume of the car radio and did not notice the Civic, according to Patterson Police Services.
