The Patterson City Council plans to discuss a few items at its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

It will consider giving the Patterson Apricot Fiesta $5,000 to promote the annual celebration. It also will decide whether to close City Hall all day on New Year’s Eve. In addition, City Manager Cleve Morris will update the council on the proposed development of the Crows Landing Air Facility.

In closed session, the council will continue property negotiations surrounding a water treatment facility.

According to a report from Morris to the City Council, the Crows Landing update will center on the council’s efforts to get other local jurisdictions to oppose the development as proposed by PCCP West Park. So far, the Newman City Council, Patterson Unified School District, Del Puerto Health District and West Stanislaus Fire Protection District have signed a joint resolution created by Patterson’s council opposing the proposed 4,800-acre industrial park.
