Health care district to tackle West Park Print E-mail
Written by PI Staff
Saturday, 24 November 2007

A resolution to oppose the development of the Crows Landing Air Facility beyond the established boundaries of the base will be discussed when the Del Puerto Health Care District meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The board will meet at the district office, 875 E St., to vote on the resolution, which has already been approved by the Patterson and Newman city councils, Patterson Unified School District and West Stanislaus Fire Protection District.

The 4,800-acre PCCP West Park project would be linked by rail with the Port of Oakland and have an intermodal storage yard for container trains. Developer Gerry Kamilos has said the project would bring 37,000 jobs to the area.

The board will also review financial reports for October. Patterson District Ambulance Director Barry Hurd will report on ambulance calls for October. Margo Arnold, CEO of the district, will give an administrative report on happenings at the Del Puerto Health Center, which the district operates.
