Patterson High School is planning a “haunted” homecoming week, ending with a football game against the Livingston Wolves on Friday night at Patterson Community Stadium.

That game and the dance that follows will be the cap to a week of activities at the high school.

Homecoming royalty — king and queen, prince and princess and Mr. Good Guy — will be crowned at halftime of the varsity game. Homecoming floats will go around the track between the junior varsity and varsity games.

Soccer, golf, cross county and volleyball compete all week, as is usual in the fall, and students will have dress-up days Monday through Friday on campus.
  • Monday: Nightmare Before Homecoming Day. Students should wear their most “chilling” pajamas to school. A Spirit Rally will be at 2 p.m. in the gym. Patterson will play Orestimba in soccer and volleyball.
  • Tuesday: Students will dress up for Orange and Black Day. Powder Puff games will be at 7 p.m. at the community stadium; admission is $2 per person.
  • Wednesday: Students will dress in costumes, but there are no masks allowed. The Haunted Night Rally will be at 7 p.m. at the stadium. Admission is $2 per person. The rally will include cheerleading, a mummy wrap game, bungee runs, costume contests, lip-sync contests, haunted trivia, relays and dances.  The boys soccer team will play at Central Catholic, and cross country will be in Lodi.
  • Thursday: Students will dress up for Evil Twin Day. There are no evening activities. Freshman football will play at Livingston, and volleyball will play at Central Catholic
  • Friday: Students will show school spirit and team support during Tiger Pride Day by dressing in the school colors of crimson and gray. The Friday homecoming parade will leave PHS at 2:10 p.m. and go downtown and around Plaza Circle.

The Patterson Tigers and Livingston Wolves will meet on the field at 5:30 p.m. for junior varsity and 7 p.m. for varsity. The halftime show will be at about 8:30 p.m. The homecoming dance will be from 9 a.m. to midnight in the gym. Admission is $7 or $5 with an Associated Student Body punch on a student ID card.
