- Bryce Alexander Houk was born Sept. 1, 2007, to Matt and Amy Houk of Columbus, Ga. He weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces, and measured 20½ inches long when he arrived at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Benning, Ga. Bryce has two older sisters, Allaina, 5½, and Amelia, 2. His grandparents are Tom and Maddy Houk of Patterson and Melissa Goeken and Kevin Hawkins, both of Modesto. Bryce’s great-grandparents are Dean Houk of Patterson; Helen De Palma of Baldwin, N.Y., and Brenda and Vic Liles of Camillus, N.Y.
- Juan Carlos Hernandez Jr. was born Sept. 7, 2007, to Melissa Vierra and Carlos Hernandez of Patterson. He weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 19 inches long when he arrived at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. He has an older brother, Kristopher, 3½, and an older sister, Marissa, 2½. His grandparents are Craig and Shirley Ching of Patterson, Jim Vierra of Redding and Lori Vierra of Stockton.
