School board to hear school status reports |

The local school board will receive an update on modernization projects at local campuses and discuss district technology at its regular meeting Monday night.
Mark Wheeler, Patterson Unified School District’s manager of facilities and construction, will talk about completed projects on local campuses. The agenda will include approval of additional construction expenses for some of the projects.
Bob Sherburn, the district’s technology director, and John Hawksworth-Lutzow, the district’s technology coordinator, will provide information about technology for students on local campuses and for parents. Discussion topics include parent technology nights and Creekside Middle School’s state Enhancing Education Through Technology Grant, which aims to improve students’ technology literacy.
Kathy Pon, assistant superintendent of educational services, and Youlin Aissa, Creekside’s assistant principal, will report on the district’s summer school session. Pon and Rhonda Whitehead, the district’s food service manager, will update the board on the physical fitness and wellness policy in PUSD schools.
Steve Menge, assistant superintendent of administrative services, will give an update on attendance figures in the district.
