Sharing A Classic

Librarian Kelly Thompson of Patterson Library reads “The Story of Ferdinand” — the tale of a bull who loved to smell flowers, published in 1936 — aloud to a group of youngsters as part of Read for the Record, a nationwide effort to break a world record of more than 150,000 children hearing the same story at a time. A Spanish-language edition of the book is at left.
