It was a pretty tough weekend to try to notch a victory — much less a perfect score — in the Irrigator’s weekly football contest. Upsets abounded, and with several matchups pitting little-known colleges against each other, the Week 11 overall scores were among the contest’s lowest of the season. Still, three contestants emerged with respectable 16-4 records. Patterson’s Carrie Agundez proved victorious, edging out fellow resident Todd Hogan and Stockton’s Abel Silva with her tiebreaker prediction. “I’ve been playing since I was really small,” Agundez said. “Usually, I will look in the papers and research point spreads. “This time, I just marked who I thought would win.” There are only two weeks remaining in the contest, which means just two more chances for one lucky contestant to try and claim a jackpot prize with a perfect 20-0 mark. This week, the spoils increase to $1,200.
