Some love for the hogs EDITOR, You would think that after eight weeks of high school football and a record of 7-1, some mention or picture of the outstanding offensive and defensive line play by Patterson High junior varsity football team would have been acknowledged. This is the group some coaches respectfully call the hogs, grunts or big’uns, who work in the trenches so the quarterback can throw, the runner can run and the receiver can catch the ball on Friday nights. With this being said, I would like to acknowledge the following young men for their hard work: Simote Tupouata, Joey Powers, Josh Chase, Daniel Shepard, Andrew Sciaky and Caleb Martinez.
