Woman badly hurt in head-on car crash

A two-vehicle crash left a Patterson woman with a severed foot Saturday morning. Peggy Hall, 54, was driving north on Highway 33 approaching Ward Avenue when a southbound 1990 Honda drove across a double yellow line and collided with Hall’s 1992 Geo Metro, according to reports from the California Highway Patrol. A helicopter took Hall to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. The CHP had no further information regarding her condition. Emergency responders treated the Honda’s driver, Francisco Munjia, 32, of Patterson, at the scene for minor injuries. Jose Perez, 25, of Patterson, who was a passenger in the Honda, was taken by ambulance to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto and was later released.
