Hoobler, Sai plan wedding  Lauren Hoobler and Michael Sai, both of Modesto, will marry in September 2008 in Monterey.Michael proposed to Lauren on the cliffs of Point Lobos in Carmel on Dec. 26, 2006. Lauren, a 1999 graduate of Patterson High School, is the daughter of Marilyn and Bill Hoobler. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal studies from California State University, Stanislaus, in 2004. Lauren also graduated in 2007 from Modesto Junior College with an associate degree in interior design. She works as an interior designer at Portico for Home and Garden in Modesto. Michael is a 1998 graduate of Downey High School in Modesto. He is the son of Wanda Sai of Modesto and Joseph Sai of Manteca. He earned his associate degree in business in 2006 from MJC and attends Chapman University in Modesto, where he is scheduled to graduate in August with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership. He is the in-house photographer and marketing coordinator for Hi-Tec Sports USA in Modesto.
