District eyes master plan

At a glance WHAT: Patterson Unified School Board meeting WHEN: 7 p.m. Monday WHERE: District office, 510 Keystone Blvd. INFO: 895-7700 The Patterson School District Facilities Master Plan for the next decade will be the topic of discussion at Monday’s school board meeting. Mark Wheeler, manager of facilities and construction, will explain what each of the district’s school sites will need. Some of the district’s needs could be covered by a school bond that the district hopes to get on the November ballot. The bond would replace and modernize new classrooms in schools throughout the district and improve campus security, communications and technology. Creekside Middle School could get a new cafeteria. A library, student support center, career center and permanent classrooms could be built at Walnut Grove School, a kindergarten- through eighth-grade school that will be built in eastern Patterson. Patterson High School’s list includes an agriculture/welding/auto shop and a building for career and vocational education programs.
