Weinzheimer, Sifuentes earn districtwide honors Patterson juniors Kianna Weinzheimer and Mandy Sifuentes didn’t have much to celebrate this softball season. However, the two Tiger standouts, whose powerful presence at the plate and in the pitching circle highlighted Patterson’s disappointing 13-14 season, got their just deserts recently when they were named to the Modesto Bee’s All-District softball second team. Weinzheimer powered the Tigers’ offense with a team-high .397 batting average. She also ranked in the Western Athletic Conference’s top five in home runs (two), RBIs (19), slugging percentage (.691) and on-base percentage (.431). Sifuentes was typically lights-out when the ball was in her hand. The Tigers’ ace finished in the WAC’s top five in wins (nine), strikeouts (157) and ERA (1.63).
