Outgoing and easygoing: Stacey Garibaldi

Patterson resident Stacey Garibaldi is more than your average teenage girl. According to her friends, she is a fun, crazy and generous person. She recently graduated from Patterson High School and will attend Modesto Junior College in the fall.

While in high school, Garibaldi participated in various sports, such as volleyball and basketball, and was part of school plays. She works at the restaurants Mil’s and Shooters in town, where she is considered a determined, hardworking employee.

As a result of her accomplishments and her all-around great personality, Stacey was the best candidate for this issue’s spotlight profile.

IG: What is your favorite color and why?
Stacey Garibaldi: My favorite color is orange, because not only is it my favorite, but it is bright and stands out and it just says fun.

IG: What are your goals in life?
Garibaldi: My goals in life are to do what makes me happy. I am not quite sure what I want to be in life, but I want to make sure whatever I do, I do it proud and to the best of my ability. I want to graduate from college and just make my family proud.

IG: What do you like to do in your free time?
Garibaldi: In my free time, I like to hang out with friends, listen to music and swim. It is actually pretty exciting, because this summer, a group of friends and I are going to go on day trips to the pool once a week, which I am pretty pumped for. I also like to hit up MySpace, too.

IG: If you could change something in Patterson, what would it be?
Garibaldi: I would put a movie theater in, because I love going to the movies, but gas is expensive.

IG: What are your favorite foods?
Garibaldi: Chinese by far is my favorite, and Mil’s and Shooters, of course, because I work there.

IG: How would you describe your personality?
Garibaldi: I like to think I am outgoing and easygoing. I am down to do anything. I just want to have fun, basically.

IG: What is your favorite movie?
Garibaldi: I don’t really have a favorite movie, but the ones on top of my list are “Finding Nemo,” “Grease” and “Now and Then.”

IG: If you could be any animal, what would it be?
Garibaldi: If I could be an animal, it would be a monkey, because they are funny and they can pretty much do anything and climb a lot, which is fun. They make funny faces that make people laugh, so it would be cool to make people laugh.

IG: What are your top purchases at a gas station?
Garibaldi: I like to get Rockstars and Arizonas, because they are good and cheap, and gas, since it’s a gas station.

IG: What would you like to do as a future career?
Garibaldi: I am not sure — I might want to be a criminal psychologist, because I think that’s really interesting. Plus (I am not going to lie) I am nosy. But I also really want to be a high school English teacher, as well as a high school varsity volleyball coach. I think that would be really fun.
