The senior Class of 2008 has had its shares of ups and downs. This year has been one of the most memorable years at Patterson High School. With about 300 graduating seniors, the memories of this year go a long way.

Sports, clubs and activities around campus were among most of the things the class of ’08 had a huge impact on. Starting with football and cheerleading. Most of the top players on the varsity football team were seniors, and with their help, the Tigers made it to section championships at University of the Pacific.

The fall homecoming week was another great success for the seniors, as they won both the powder puff football game and the night rally. Unfortunately, this time was also one of the hardest for the class of ’08; senior Korressa Mitchell was killed in a car accident. She may be gone, but she will forever live in the hearts of everyone who loved her.

After the tragedy, the seniors stood strong and grew closer. The boys varsity soccer team won the WAC championship, as did the boys varsity basketball team and the girls cross country team. The winter homecoming was yet another success for them, as they once again dominated in the winter night rally, taking home the gold.

Finally, there is the event that has made the class of 2008 a class that will never be forgotten. The seniors pulled one of the best pranks known in PHS history. Even though they were caught, and suffered the consequences, those involved say, “It was worth it.”

The school was trashed. Toilet paper in the trees, grass all over the place, writing on windows and forks in the grass. With this prank, the Class of '08 name will never be forgotten.

It is hard to think of just one memory that stands out in my four years here. Among all of the memories, the ones that are the most memorable are spending days and nights with best friends, rallies, the consequences we faced and our senior prank.
— Tawny Dooley

I have had so many memories, so it is hard to sum it up in one little paragraph. But if I had to choose a few, I would definitely say our senior prank, minimum days at Blues, late nights, hanging out with my best friends and cheerleading with some of the best girls I’ll ever know.
— Melissa Thorkelson

I have had so much fun in high school! Some of my best memories include long, boring class periods when you make up crazy things to do to occupy yourself (make paper airplanes and play hacky sack). Also, spending great times with the people I love the most.
— Kayla Stoppe

My most memorable times in high school would have to start at the beginning of the year, when it was as if everything was so carefree, nothing to worry about, everything was good. Also, all the last-minute assignments we would do the night before their due dates. Overall, coming closer to everyone in my class and making memories that will last a lifetime.
— Liz Brooks

My most memorable memory of high school would have to be to all those late nights we stayed up doing homework and those late nights out with friends. Coming back to school being so tired to where we all just wanted to have a break. Those nights could never be forgotten.
— Claudia Tapia

Going out every weekend, and the phone calls and texts asking what was going on. Denny’s for a week straight. Summer before senior year and all of senior year.
— Lauren Linton

My most memorable moment in high school would definitely have to be the week of fall homecoming. It was my birthday week, and I spent it with my girls, Portia, Tanaya, Arielle and Krista, not to mention we had powder puff and the night rally and it was the first time I ever participated in anything like that. We had a lot of laughs that week.
— D’Junae Washington

I have had a few memorable moments here at PHS. The first one is the powder puff game, and then there was the entire girls basketball season of my senior year. I am sure there will be a few more to come.
— Michelle Bancroft

My most memorable moment is this year when we turned our whole basketball team around and won the undefeated WAC championship.
— Ryan DeForest

The great and tasty cafeteria food that I had.
— Shannon Murphy

My most memorable moment in high school was sophomore year soccer and attending a religious retreat that same year and spending these moments with crazy Julina, I love you.
— Carolina Ruiz

When I first met Carolina and I accidentally threw ketchup on her with my French fry.
— Julina Corona

Playing soccer, eating pizza, going out with friends during lunch, staying up late working on the P.R.E.P. project with Michelle and eating a box of Uncrustables.
— Aracely Murillo

Playing powder puff and winning.

— Melina Morales

There are too many memorable moments, but by far the best have been with my beasties: Chuhey, Faraby, Biva, Stephy, Ray Ray, and Cookie. Movie nights at my house trying to master the ultimate recipe of Rice Krispies. The best Ninth Street in Modesto; you guys know what I mean. Trying not to be so loud in public is impossible. Having random conversations with old people at Starbucks about life. High school has ended but we’ll be together forever.
