Patterson’s been quietly cultivating a music scene, and Saturday more than a dozen bands will be in the area to celebrate it. A mix of locals and out-of-towners will provide free entertainment at the Hellapop Music Festival at 15907 Ash Ave. The night of music starts at 6 p.m. The all-ages alcohol-free event should wrap up around midnight. Promoter and Patterson resident Claude Cardenas has thrown several music events in the area, though this is the largest. “We’re just trying to bring a different sound to town,” Cardenas said.
