| Hernandez tallies 2nd-place finish at tennis tournament |

Patterson High School’s Paola Hernandez continued her stellar tennis season at the recent CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Tournament in Stockton. Hernandez’s impressive 3-1 mark was good enough to claim a second place tournament finish. The Patterson standout was also named to this year’s Western Athletic Conference All-League team. Hernandez breezed through the WAC tourney, finishing atop the girl’s singles competition while posting victories over Central Catholic’s Hannah Sacchini (6-1, 6-2), Livingston’s Maria Aguilar (6-1, 6-1) and Orestimba’s Gwendolyn Mater (6-2, 6-1).
