Police are on the hunt for Alejandro Amaya, a 21-year-old Patterson man they believe was involved with the stabbing of three men.
Police initially withheld the suspect’s identity, but now they hope to get tips on his location. Anyone who has any information about Amaya’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Michael Fisher with Patterson Police Services at 892-5071.

Three men were hospitalized after the attack, two of whom were released shortly after being admitted. Police did not have the status of the third man, who had been airlifted to the hospital to undergo surgery. Police declined to release the victims’ identities.

The stabbing occurred at about 2 a.m. May 4 at a birthday party. Detectives believe an argument started inside a house on the 600 block of Yancey Court, and it was taken outside, where the stabbings occurred.

Police expect Amaya will face attempted murder charges if caught.

While police don’t believe the victims have any gang affiliation, Fisher said Amaya is a member of the Norteños.
