Girls, mom cited after fight in park
Police cited two Patterson girls, ages 15 and 16, for fighting after responding at 6:09 p.m. Monday to reports of a fight at Floragold Park, at Shearwater Drive and American Eagle Avenue.
When a deputy tried to separate the girls, the 15-year-old jumped on his back and knocked him over. The deputy also cited the 15-year-old’s mother for instigating the fight.
Wednesday
8:24 p.m.: Police responded to reports of a stolen cell phone at Patterson Community Stadium, Ward and Salado avenues. A man left his Blackberry, worth $400, near his backpack while playing football. When he returned, the phone was gone.
Monday
8:11 a.m.: Police responded to reports that numerous items were stolen from a home on the 1100 block of Yellowhammer Drive. The burglar appeared to have entered the house through an unlocked door and took a computer, car stereo, speakers, CDs and a tool box.
9:19 a.m.: Police cited a 12-year-old Creekside Middle School student for stealing his teacher’s cell phone from her desk while she was out of the room. A school employee searched the boy and found the phone.
