Police booked a 24-year-old Patterson man into Stanislaus County Jail in Modesto at 8:56 p.m. Thursday on suspicion of drunken driving and a hit and run. The vehicle driven by the 24-year-old sideswiped a vehicle on the 1400 block of Samantha Creek Drive before driving off. The vehicle’s owner witnessed the crash and followed the Patterson man. He contacted police after he saw the man park.

Friday
5:27p.m.: Police cited a 15-year-old Patterson High School student for having a knife on campus. A school employee caught some girls dieing their hair in the school bathroom, which is against school rules. While the employee went through one of the student’s backpacks, the employee found a folding knife with a locking 3.5-inch blade.

7:13 p.m.: Police booked a 40-year-old Oakland man into county jail on suspicion of being drunk in public after responding to reports that a man had been trying to get into a vacant home on the 1200 block of Ibis Drive.
