Dinner planned for De Martini A thank you for Supervisor Jim DeMartini for his work on the West Side and a fundraiser will be Friday at the F.D.E.S. Hall, 501 Ward Ave. The event will begin with a 6 p.m. social hour and 7 p.m. dinner catered by the Fruit Yard in Modesto. Ken Buehner, Larry Buehner, Willie Traina and Jeff Arambel will host the event. Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased in advance. Register to vote in June election The League of Women Voters of Stanislaus County will register voters May 19 — the last day to register to vote for the June 3 election — at three county libraries. Registration will be at the Patterson Library, 46 N. Salado Ave., from 2 to 5 p.m.; at the Turlock Library, 550 Minaret Ave., from 4 to 6 p.m. and at the Modesto Library, 1500 I St., from 5 to 7 p.m. A person is entitled to register to vote in Stanislaus County if they are a U.S. citizen; a resident of California; a resident of Stanislaus County; not in prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony; and at least 18 years old on the date of the election Voters who have moved or changed their name can fill out new registration cards to update their information. For information: 524-1698. Photographers invited to enter show Delicato Vineyards in Manteca is having its 12th annual Photography Show from July 1 to 26. Amateur and professional photographers are invited to enter and will be judged jointly. Categories include landscape and nature; people and portrait; travel and architecture; animals; and other. Five pieces per photographer may be mailed or brought with entry fee to Delicato Tasting Room, 12001 S. Highway 99, in Manteca, between June 11 and June 20. The public is invited to view the accepted and judged photographs free at the tasting room from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. seven days a week from July 1 to 26. The public is also invited to the awards ceremony at 2 p.m. July 26.
