Man arrested after thrown rocks hit cars Police booked Cesario Luna, 35, of Patterson into Stanislaus County Jail in Modesto at 7:09 a.m. Sunday on suspicion of throwing rocks at cars driving along Highway 33. Witnesses said the suspect struck several people’s cars, including a car belonging to a Hayward man who called police and identified Luna. Police caught up with Luna around Second and L streets. He tried to get away, but police caught him after briefly chasing him on foot. Luna threw an illegal switchblade on the ground when police approached him. When deputies put him in a police car, he kicked out a side window. Thursday 4:39 p.m.: Police responded to reports that a cell phone had been stolen from a business on Plaza Circle. A 53-year-old Patterson man said that after he discovered his cell phone was missing, he called the number and a woman answered.
