Patterson High’s Oscar Park shot an 89 at Roddy Ranch Golf Club in Antioch on Wednesday during this season’s Western Athletic Conference league meet. Park’s score — a nine-stroke improvement from his midyear tournament mark — was good enough to qualify him for sections play. The Tigers finished third at the meet with a team score of 515 — grossing a fourth-place finish in the WAC. Patterson newcomer Preston Plaugher bested his midyear tournament mark by 22 strokes, shooting a 95. Teammates Scott Trinta, Robert Krager and Ryan DeForest also fared well with scores of 104, 108 and 119 respectively. WAC powerhouse Central Catholic came away with the league title, while Orestimba’s Clayton Aguilar earned medalist honors with a score of 78.
