The Patterson High track team continued its quest toward Western Athletic Conference supremacy Thursday, sweeping the overmatched Livingston Wolves at home.

The usual standouts rose to the challenge for Patterson’s loaded varsity squads.

Patterson’s Amber Bond came away with first-place finishes in both the girls 100 meters (12.78 seconds) and the girls 200 meters (27.28). She also took top honors in the girls pole vault (7 feet, 6 inches).

Teammates Rebecca Freres, Krista Loughman and Jessica Ladd joined Bond in winning the girls 4x100 relay (54.06).

Freres also came away with first-place finishes in the 100 high hurdles (16.24) and the 300 low hurdles (52.57), as well as improving upon her best triple-jump mark by two feet (35-5).

Tigers distance runner Amanda Moreno ran away with best meet times in the girls 1,600 meters (5:59.34) and 3,200 meters (13:00.27).

Patterson thrower Joy Eki-Edo wrapped up first-place points in the girls shot put (30-3) while finishing in second place in the girls discus (82-4).

Patterson’s Josh Ham earned first-place points for his Tigers in the boys 100 meters (11.09), as did teammate Robby Samano in the boys 200 meters (22.52).

Teammates Ronyea Ellington and Emmanuel Brooks helped Ham and Samano to a blistering first-place finish in the boys 4x100 relay (44.53).
