The Orestimba 50-Plus Club will have a KFC potluck at 12:30 p.m. Friday at L.J. Newman Hall, 649 Orestimba Road, in Newman. Those who attend should bring their own table service and a side dish. Millie Moudry, Allie Greer, June Spaulding, Betty Hernandez and Barbara Tosta will provide refreshments for the meeting.

At the April 18 meeting, a thank-you card was received from Virginia Arambel. Sunshine cards were sent to Connie Andersen and Thelma Hansen. Carol Champion and Suzie Hurst were new members welcomed to the club. The group sang the birthday song to Suzie Hurst and Gene Servos. Millie Moudry won the 50-50 prize, and Virginia Amaral won the sign-in prize.

Anyone 21 and older is welcome to join the Run-A-Way Day on May 21. The cost of $38 per person includes motor coach transportation and a four-hour stay at Jackson Rancheria. A stop at a winery for wine tasting and a stop at an ice cream shop in Clements are also on the agenda. The bus will depart from Las Palmas Mobile Estates Clubhouse, 250 E. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson, at 8 a.m. that day. Those interested should mail payment to Orestimba 50-Plus Tours, 1226 Barrington Ave., Newman 95360.
